recoin recovers more than 65 wallet formats: desktop, mobile, browser extension and hardware wallets, as well as recovery phrases and paper wallets. We handle forgotten passwords, missing or wrong recovery words, damaged wallet files and wallets from old software versions. Consultation and the initial assessment are free, with no upfront fee and a success fee only.
Wallets installed on a PC. If the wallet file (wallet.dat, keystore, .wallet and so on) still exists, we can look at password analysis or file repair.

Yes. The list covers the main formats we have tested. Forks that use the same encryption and wallets that have been renamed can often be handled too. If you do not know the wallet name or file format, we check it in the free assessment.
If the encrypted vault data is still in the browser on the PC you used MetaMask on, we can look at password analysis. Removing or reinstalling the extension or browser can delete that data, so please use that PC as little as possible and contact us.
We analyse cases where part of the 12 or 24-word recovery phrase is missing, copied wrongly or in an unknown order, and cases where the extra passphrase (the 25th word) is forgotten. All models and all coins are covered.
For wallets such as Bitcoin Core's wallet.dat, keys can sometimes be extracted from damaged or partial files. If the file was deleted, keep that disk and use it as little as possible.
Assets in an exchange account (such as Coinbase or Binance) are controlled by the exchange, not by a wallet, so they are outside our recovery service. Please go through the exchange's identity verification with its support team.
